You may be wondering, what exactly the intent of this blog is. In short, the purpose of this blog is to post outstanding examples of musical artistry each and every day; to have a focus, the music I share on here isn’t a genre or branch of music, but music that comes from video games. An immense amount of musical mastery goes under-appreciated from the video game industry, and the casual music fan who may not be into games or gaming doesn’t really give these tracks a try simply because of their origin. In some cases, the gamer themselves are much to busy playing the games to even notice the wonderful ambiance, or mood, or sense of adventure the composer has elevated into the world they’re exploring with their craft.

To further elevate our song posts, I will be posting various finds related to the subject, whether they be quotes from composers, soundtrack releases, interview links, or anything that can further us into the complex and masterful world of game composition on a pleasurable and intellectual level.

Here we appreciate game music; whether it be 8-bit, 16-bit, orchestral, rock, techno, folk, or something else entirely. As long as it’s wonderful, it is here. That is all.
